Overview of Riester 2020 Uni II May Ophthalmoscope The Uni® II May ophthalmoscope features a 2.7-volt discharge lamp for direct illumination. The ophthalmoscope head is made of durable metal and has an additional connector for quick and secure connection to the handle. It contains a focusing wheel with 23 corrective lenses ranging from 0 to +20 and 0 to -20 diopters. There is a large circle opening for examining the fundus of the eye. The lamp can be easily replaced at the base of the head. The Uni® II May ophthalmoscope has a "C" type battery handle that can use two standard lithium "C" batteries or a rechargeable Ri-accu® NiMH battery. When using a rechargeable battery, the handle can be easily charged in the Ri-charger® Charging Base. It features a Rheostat® for controlling light intensity. Batteries are easy to change at the base of the handle. The handle is made of durable, chrome-plated metal and has a knurled surface for a secure and hygienic grip. It has an additional connector for easy and quick change of the device head. The handle diameter is 28 mm. The ophthalmoscope comes in a silver plastic case with two snap locks.
