OSCE Stations for Medical Finals Book 1

This new medical student OSCE title (replacing OSCEs for Medical Students, vol. 1-3, PasTest) delivers up-to-date popular OSCE exam cases encountered on the wards and in exams, from third year to finals. Scenarios are designed to reflect current exam topics, and follow the new 'domain-based' approach to the OSCE exam; each scenario is subdivided into between 4 and 6 related tasks so you work systematically through the patient case from presentation to diagnosis, data interpretation and management. Within each OSCE station you'll be guided history taking, clinical signs, data interpretation, and clinical therapeutics scenarios. By working methodically through the tasks the authors (all experienced OSCE examiners at UK medical schools) hope to promote the application and utilisation of knowledge and skills, asking candidates to think and act on the clinical information they have gathered throughout the course of the OSCE station. As the stations and tasks are linked, you'll start at station 1, and move through each of the subsequent stations systematically. Mirroring the real world, each task would be performed on the same patient, giving this title relevance for medical school OSCEs and beyond. Providing essential OSCE exam revision, this title is part of an innovative new series replacing the best-selling 'OSCEs for Medical Students', Volumes 1-3.
