الكين الليموني أو الكافور الليموني واحدة من الاشجار المزروعة بشكل واس، موطنها الاصلي قارة أستراليا. ويصل ارتفاع الكينة عادة إلى 30 متراً أو أكرث وألاوراق الصغيرة عريضة في زوجين متقابلين ومغطاة بطبقة زرقاء إلى رمادية اللون، وعند اكتمال نموها تصبح مستدقة الشكل ومنحنية وخضراء غامقة اللون ويصل طولها إلى 20 سم تمتاز برائحة قوية تشبه رائحة الليمون.

الأزهار كريمية اللون تنتج رحيقاً له مذاق العسل. والثمار مستديرة الشكل تحتوي على بذور صغيرة تنتشر من خلال قمة الثمرة.

وكبقية أنواع الاوكاليبتوس، فللكينة الليمونية جذور متعمقة ومنتشرة سريعة النمو ومتأقلمة مع الظروف الصحراوية.

1. تستخدم كذلك بكرثة في إنتاج لب الخشب وخشب الوقود.
2. وكانت الكينة الليمونية فيما مضى تزرع في الشوارع، ولكنها الان تعد غير صالحة لذلك لعظم حجمها وحاجتها إلى الرعاية المكثفة.
3. تعد الكينة من النباتات الغازية، ومع ذلك فإنها واحدة من أنواع الاوكاليبتوس المتعددة المناسبة للزراعة في منطقة الصحراء بوصفها مصداً للرياح، وفي عمليات التشجير، وتثبيت المنحدرات والمجاري المائية. وإذا أعطيت مكاناً متسعاً، فإن الكينة مناسبة للزراعة في المنتزهات.

Lemon eucalyptus is one of the widely cultivated trees, native to the continent of Australia. The height of the kina usually reaches 30 meters or more, and the small leaves are broad in two opposite pairs and covered with a blue to gray layer. When they are fully grown, they become tapered, curved, and dark green in color and up to 20 cm long, characterized by a strong smell similar to the smell of lemon.

 The cream-colored flowers produce a nectar that tastes like honey. The fruits are round in shape and contain small seeds that spread through the top of the fruit.

 Like other eucalyptus species, lemongrass has deep, spreading roots that grow quickly and are adapted to desert conditions.

1.  It is also widely used in the production of wood pulp and fuel wood.
2.  In the past, the lemongrass was grown in the streets, but now it is considered unsuitable for that due to its large size and its need for intensive care.
3.  Kina is an invasive plant, however, it is one of the many types of eucalyptus suitable for cultivation in the desert region as a windbreak, in afforestation, and stabilization of slopes and waterways. If given ample space, the kina is suitable for planting in parks.
4.  Propagated by seeds.
5.  Tolerant of heat and drought.
