شجرة العاذر هو أحد الأعشاب و النباتات العطرية التي تنمو في صحراء شبه جزيرة سيناء، وهو نبات معمر، وشائع الإنتشار في شمال محافظة سيناء، وهي شجيرات تختلف من منطقة لأخرى وهو ذو اوراق صغيرة وبسيطة موزعة على أفرع عديدة ورفيعة ، وازهاره خضراء مصفرة في الشتاء و الصيف تحمل ثمار طولها واحد سم تقريبا، وهي تنمو في الصحراء وسط الرمال إلا أن هناك ندرة فيه في جميع الدول العربية. وتثمير عشبة العاذر، على مدار العام وخاصة في الفصول الانتقالية اي الربيع و الخريف، ولها رائحة جميلة نفاذة، حيث يحتوي على مواد فعالة زيوت طيارة و مواد مرة ، و تستخدم لتزيين المنازل، كما تستخدم جذوره في العلاجات الشعبية لعلاج نزلات البرد اما الأفرع تستخدم في الطهو، وجودة النبات ترجع إلى الارتفاع عن سطح البحر فكلما كانت العشبة تقع في الأعلى كلما كانت افضل وأكثر ازدهارا وزاد حجمها.
