زهرة الخلود نبتة عشبية ، حولية شتوية مع ارتفاع كثيف ، يصل ارتفاعها من 70 -30 سم ، سهلة الرعاية، اوراقها خطية بسيطة مسننة الحافة مغطاة بشعر ناعم ابيض وسمي بنبات الكاري لأن لأوراقه رائحة تشبه رائحة الكاري و لا يوجد أي صلة بين النباتين ، وازهارها فى نورات راسية ذات اعناق طويلة جميلة صفراء زاهية وذات رائحة لطيفة مميزة ، وقاعدة رأس الزهرة أملسًا ، بهامش مهدب ، أو ممشط بالعسل، ويشبه الإقحوانات.
