ينتشر في المنطقة الممتدة من بورما، شمال آسيا وشمال غرب الصين. وهو نبات معمر أو حولي شبيه بالشجيرة يناسبه المناخ المداري وتحتالمداري. وهو رسريع النمو ويصل ارتفاعه إلى 2-3 أمتار وعادة يكونمتعدد الأفرع. والأوراق أساساً خضراء وتبدو أحياناً حمراء داكنة وهيراحية كاملة الحافة. وتظهر الأزهار في الصيف في شكل عناقيد من كراتذات شعيرات متينة. والثمرة علبة تحوي بذوراً شبيهة بالقراد. وكل أجزاءالنبات سامة جداً خصوصاً البذور. والزيت المستخرج من البذور غير سامويستخدم بوصفه علاجاً. وحاجة النبات إلى الري وتغذية عالية. وفيالصحاري العربية ينمو النبات برياً مجاوراً لمجاري المياه. ونظراً لسميتهفإنه يزال يمثل نبات زينة جذاباً لدى بعض الناس. وفي أوروبا يستخدمبوصفه نبات مراقد حولياً صيفياً. لكن لا بد من التحكم فيه لأن له خاصيةسرعة الإنتشار. والإكثار يتم عن طريق زراعة البذور مباشرة أو زراعةالبذور ثم نقل الشتلات. وفي تصميم الحدائق يوصى باستخدامه بوصفهنبات منظر خلفياً. وفي الأماكن العامة المفتوحة يمكن استخدامه مغطيتربة لإعطاء الخضرة. كما أنه يصلح أيضاً أن يكون نبات أوان.

It spreads in the area extending from Burma, northern Asia and northwestern China. It is a perennial or annual shrub-like plant suitable for tropical and subtropical climates. It is fast growing and reaches 2-3 m in height and is usually multi-branched. The leaves are mainly green and sometimes appear dark red with full-fledged palms. The oil extracted from the seeds is non-toxic and used as a medicinal product. The plant needs watering and feeding is high. And in the Arabian deserts, the plant grows in the wild, adjacent to waterways. Due to its toxicity, it is still an attractive ornamental plant to some people. In Europe, it is used as a shrub plant annually. But it must be controlled because it has the property of rapid spread. Propagation is done by planting the seeds directly or by planting the seeds and then transferring the seedlings. In garden design it is recommended to be used as a back view plant. And in public open spaces, it can be used as a mulch to give greenery. It is also suitable as a pot plant.
