Shanan is a long-branched perennial shrub, especially in rainy years, as its ground coverage
can reach a square nm. Its leaves are generally reduced, succulent and yellowish, and there are
leafless varieties. Shannen blooms in July and August, and its winged fruits ripen in October,
and some of its long roots may reach a depth of 10-12 m.The original home of the Shannan is
located in the countries of the Middle East (Syria, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq), and in some
North African countries. The Shanan lives in arid and semi-arid regions, where annual rainfall
rates are less than 200 mm. It tolerates high temperatures and is affected by frost. The optimum
temperature for the two countries ranged between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius in late April. The
plant is photophilic, especially in the stage of flowering and pollination. It lives in various
types of soils, especially in clay or loamy soils, and tolerates a high degree of salinity. Shanan
spread by land in many countries of the world, especially in the countries of the Middle East
and North Africa. It is rarely grown for economic purposes. It can be propagated by seeds that
are sown in the months of March and April after the risk of spring frost has passed, and a
hectare needs about 5-10 kg after preparing the soil surface, landfilling the seeds, and before
the rain
