فيكس بنغالي هو نوع من أشجار الزينة كثيف الأوراق، سريع النمو، مستدير الرأس ودائم الخضرة، ومن الممكن أن يصل ارتفاعه إلى 10 أمتار، ويتميز بأن أوراقه غير متساقطة حتى في فصل الخريف، ما يجعله مناسبا لصناعة الأسيجة الخضراء حول المنازل.
تنمو هذه الشجرة بطريقة العُقل وليس البذور، فتتدلى من الشجرة عقل، يتم غرزها فى الأرض فتكون جذعا يطرح شجرة على بعد أمتار وهكذا تتكاثر وتسمى بالجذور الهوائية، لتتفاجأ فى النهاية بأن كل هذا الطول والأوراق والجذوع عبارة عن شجرة واحدة، الشجرة الأم.
- ينمو في المناطق الدافئة والحارة مرتفعة الرطوبة.
- لا يحتمل المناطق الباردة.
The Bengali ficus is a type of ornamental tree with dense leaves, fast-growing, round-headed and evergreen, and it can reach a height of 10 meters, and it is distinguished by its leaves that do not fall even in the fall, which makes it suitable for making green hedges around homes.
This tree grows in the way of the mind, not the seeds, so a mind hangs from the tree, it is stuck in the ground, so it becomes a trunk that throws a tree meters away, and thus multiplies and is called the aerial roots, to be surprised in the end that all this length, leaves and trunks is one tree, the mother tree.
- It grows in warm and hot regions with high humidity.
- Cold regions are not tolerated.
