زهرة الساعة ، أو زهرة العاطفة الزرقاء ، يعود أصلها إلى أمريكا الجنوبية مثل (الأرجنتين، باراغواي، أوروغواي والبرازيل) هي نبات نفضي متسلق شبه دائمة الخضرة ، سريعة النمو ، يصل طولها إلى 10 امتار أو أكثر ، أوراقها راحية الشكل وازهارها غريبة حيث أنها تشبه الساعة وهي ذات الوان مختلفة ، ثمرتها برتقالية اللون بيضاوية الشكل ، يزيد طولها إلى 6 سم ، وهناك انواع ثمارها صالحة للأكل وأنواع أخرى ثمارها غير صالحة للأكل ، وهو يتكاثر عن طريق البذور و العقل وكذا الترقيد، ولأن لها جذور رفيعة تتعلق بها على الدعامات التي تربى عليها زهرة جميلة تتألق بألوانها الرائعة الجذابة ، أخذت تسمية الساعة لأنها تشبه الساعة حيث تتوضع أجزاء الزهرة بشكل يشبه الساعة وعقاربها ، كما تسمى أيضاً بزهرة الأحزان وذلك لأنها لا تعيش إلا ليوم واحد ، وهي أحد الأنواع من النباتات المزهرة التي تستخدم كمهدئ ومضاد للتقلصات والآلام ، وكما انه يستخدما اساسا للتزيين في الحدائق و الشرفات المنزلية وغيرها.

It is a deciduous, semi-evergreen climber, fast-growing plant, reaching a length of 10 meters or more. Its leaves are palm-shaped and its flowers are strange as it resembles a clock. It is of different colors, its orange fruit is oval in shape, its length increases to 6 cm, and there are types of edible fruits and other types whose fruits are inedible, and it reproduces by means of seeds and cuttings as well as laying, and because it has thin roots attached to it on the supports on which it is raised A beautiful flower that shines with its wonderful attractive colors, I took the name of the clock because it is similar to the clock where the parts of the flower are positioned in a shape similar to the clock and its hands, and it is also called the flower of sorrows because it only lives for one day, and it is one of the types of flowering plants that are used as a sedative and anti-contractions and pain. It is mainly used for decoration in gardens, balconies and other homes.
